There is no question that going to the range and shooting on the line will make you a more accurate shooter. That is just one piece of the puzzle. To become an effective shooter with the ability to defend yourself and your family you need to do more. Advanced Handgun Level I builds the foundation needed to get you there. This course will begin in the classroom and transition into the range for live fire shooting. Students will learn proper weapons handling, how to improve situational awareness in a dynamic environment, how to handle malfunctions and magazine changes while in the fight, and the importance and effect of shot placement. Practical shooting exercises will gauge the student’s ability and provide the tools necessary to advance skill level. This course typically runs between four and five hours. It is not for new shooters and we recommend attending one of our basic courses first.
