This two-hour introductory course is geared towards new handgun shooters. Students will learn to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols by combining classroom instruction and live fire. It begins with an overview of firearm safety and range rules for safe gun handling. Next, parts, operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, and shooting positions. The class will transfer into the range to put these skills to the test. Each student will be able to demonstrate proper handling of the firearm, loading and unloading proficiency, and immediate action drills for their firearm.

Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; home security and home defense; handgun, shotgun and AR-15 basics; shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training. This course includes a live fire portion and satisfies the class requirement for those seeking a CT Concealed Carry Permit.

This course is an introduction for younger shooters to the world of firearms. It begins with an extensive safety lecture followed by the fundamentals of firearms handling. The class then covers the fundamentals of good marksmanship, loading and unloading, range rules and etiquette. Students then complete dry fire exercise to ensure the understanding of safety and handling. Following the classroom portion of this class, students will move into the range and put all their new knowledge to the use. Students must be accompanied by an adult and range officers will always be present during the live-fire portion of the class.

This two-hour introductory course covers defense of the home and family during a critical event. The chances of a shooting occurring in the dark, at home, are extremely high. Not only will this course cover shooting in low-light, it also covers use of force, legalities, physical security (doors, locks, lights, alarms, etc.), safe storage of guns and ammunition, emergency response plans, utilization of cover and concealment, the proper mindset, and dealing with police after an event. The first half of the course will be conducted in the classroom and finishes in our live fire range putting into practice some of the techniques learned. Prior shooting experience is required.
Proof of shooting experience can be any one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, or military DD 214 with pistol qualification.
